Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cynical Christoph (ranked 653 p4p, 678 weight class) and Olenev Stepanovich (ranked 93 p4p, 96 weight class). Stepanovich is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Swallowing Dust. Olenev Stepanovich will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stepanovich fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Stepanovich throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stepanovich looks to land a right hand but Christoph moved out of range.
Christoph looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Christoph digs a right hand underneath Stepanovich's ribcage. Stepanovich let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Christoph pushes Stepanovich back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Stepanovich tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Christoph's elbow.

Stepanovich has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Christoph is proving hard to escape from.

Christoph controls Stepanovich momentarily but Stepanovich frees himself.
Christoph escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stepanovich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Christoph had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stepanovich defends it easily.
Stepanovich stands and steps away. Christoph gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Stepanovich throws a looping overhand right but Christoph ducks down to avoid it.
Stepanovich just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromChristoph.
Christoph tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stepanovich was well out of range. Poor timing from Christoph.
Christoph avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Christoph is looking to counter punch.
Stepanovich misses with a body shot.

Stepanovich looks to land a left hand but Christoph moved out of range nicely.
Stepanovich jabs Christoph to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stepanovich has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Stepanovich bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Stepanovich cracks Christoph with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Stepanovich fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Christoph looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Christoph takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Christoph looks to score with a jab to the body but Stepanovich is just out of range.

Stepanovich throws a lazy right hand but Christoph sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Christoph quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Nice shot lands for Stepanovich.
Stepanovich is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Christoph had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Stepanovich looks to throw the jab but Christoph is out of range.
Olenev Stepanovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stepanovich lands a nice shot to the body.
Christoph scores with a nice body kick.

A shot to the body from Stepanovich misses
and Stepanovich takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stepanovich wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Christoph with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fighters circling - Stepanovich throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

It looks like Olenev Stepanovich has been cut.
Christoph walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Stepanovich drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Christoph swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Stepanovich's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cynical Christoph!
Cynical Christoph retains his lightweight title!
A relieved looking Cynical Christoph thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
