Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Saul Alvarez (ranked 2157 p4p, 2776 weight class) and Levi Daan (ranked 296 p4p, 372 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alvarez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Canelo - Training Motivation (Highlights). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez ducks under a wild hook from Daan.
Alvarez throws an overhand right that lands on Daan's shoulder, as Daan tries to avoid the shot.
Alvarez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Daan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Alvarez.
Alvarez stuns Daan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Alvarez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alvarez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Daans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Daan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Daan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Daan cracks a nice hook into Alvarez's ribs.
Saul Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvarez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Daan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alvarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Daan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Alvarez scores with a sloppy right hand. Daan should have avoided that one.

As Daan looks to move away, Alvarez throws a big counter combo but Daan just gets out of the way.
Alvarez misses with a hook. Daan ducked under it nicely.
Daan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Alvarez is rocked!
Daan drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Alvarez's head, knocking him out cold! Daan is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Levi Daan!
