Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Knight!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Varant shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Knight is concentrating on defense, preventing De Varant from advancing position.
De Varant seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Knight does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Knight looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Knight looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Knight is trying to control but De Varant manages to pass to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight tries to hold on but De Varant postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight is squirming around, avoiding De Varant's attempts to control the action.
De Varant prevents Knight from getting the reversal.

De Varant tries to control but Knight wriggling away.
De Varant takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Knight is just holding on here. De Varant manages to take his back.
Knight is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Knight trying to control the hands but De Varant breaks the grip.
Knight looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
De Varant is trying to stick to Knight's back but Knight is turning into De Varant. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in De Varant's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Knight.
De Varant is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Knight has his hands clasped together but De Varant extends and breaks Knight's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by De Varant.
