Elkins comes into the arena with Central Cee - Loading blaring out of the sound system. Boele Paisley has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Darren Elkins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Elkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Boele Paisley!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paisley fakes the leg kick and cracks Elkins in the body.
Paisley throws a quick inside leg kick.
Paisley with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Paisley takes a jab right on the kisser.
Paisley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Paisley scoring well with a low kick there.
Paisley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Elkins.
Paisley lands a leg kick that knocks Elkins off balance momentarily.
Paisley scores with a push kick.
Paisley throws a nice outside leg kick.
Paisley lands a nice looking body kick.
Boele Paisley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paisley thumps Elkins with a low kick.
Paisley is looking to chop away at Elkins's legs.
Elkins is looking to counter the offense by Paisley and move into the clinch.
Elkins is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Elkins is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Elkins controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Paisley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Elkins.
Elkins seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Elkins is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Elkins with a flurry of punches that miss.
Elkins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Paisley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Elkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Elkins postures up and lands a big shot to Paisley's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Elkins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Elkins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Elkins working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Paisley's head.
Elkins makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Elkins thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Elkins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Elkins drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Elkins as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Paisley screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Elkins! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Darren Elkins!
Darren Elkins tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
