Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Osiris Maharajah (ranked 1132 p4p, 1241 weight class) and Baldimir Zsofka (ranked 172 p4p, 191 weight class). Zsofka is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Raid - MF DOOM . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Osiris Maharajah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baldimir Zsofka!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ben Hemmingworth and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zsofka misses with the body kick
and Maharajah connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zsofka swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Maharajah counters with a straight right hand.
Zsofka takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Baldimir Zsofka has been cut.
Maharajah tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Zsofka defends well and Maharajah ends up having to push Zsofka into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Zsofka blocking some punches.
Maharajah lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Zsofka fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Maharajah definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Zsofka misses with a short punch on the inside.

Zsofka breaks from the clinch.
Zsofka finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Zsofka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maharajah.
Maharajah lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Zsofka misses with a body punch
and Maharajah cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zsofka turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Maharajah misses with a takedown
and Maharajah takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Baldimir Zsofka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zsofka loads up on a big right hand but Maharajah slips the punch.
Zsofka misses with a leg kick

and Maharajah decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zsofka's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zsofka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zsofka is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zsofka is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Maharajah throws a big elbow that misses.
Zsofka bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Maharajah's guard.

Maharajah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Maharajah is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Zsofka controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Maharajah controls Zsofka momentarily but Zsofka frees himself.

Maharajah working for submissions but it's allowed Zsofka to get to half guard.
Maharajah is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zsofka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zsofka's back!
Zsofka staying busy and making it hard for Maharajah to control.

Zsofka rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Zsofka is looking to control Maharajah's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Zsofka avoid being mounted?
Zsofka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Maharajah thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zsofka's head.
Zsofka is looking to improve his position.

Maharajah is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zsofka doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maharajah.
Maharajah takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Zsofka wants to control but Maharajah is keeping busy.
Zsofka is doing well to control the position and prevent Maharajah from advancing to side control.
Maharajah trying to control the pace.
Zsofka trying to control but Maharajah postures up.
Nice strikes from Maharajah there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Osiris Maharajah dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Baldimir Zsofka's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Zsofka throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Maharajah punishes Zsofka's body with a nice straight punch.
Zsofka throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Maharajah connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zsofka takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Maharajah is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Zsofka throws a right and a left that Maharajah avoids nicely.
Zsofka thows a leg kick but Maharajah checks it
and Maharajah counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Maharajah rushes Zsofka and presses him up against the cage.

Zsofka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maharajah swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zsofka swings widly with a right hand
and Maharajah counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Maharajah lands with an uppercut that bounces Zsofka off the cage and back into range.

Zsofka is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zsofka is still on wobbly legs! Can Maharajah finish him?
Zsofka is breathing heavily.
Zsofka throws a left and a right that both miss
and Maharajah counters with a right hand from hell and Zsofka is out cold! A vicious knockout!
