PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noah Berthier (ranked 3640 p4p, 4398 weight class) and Jay Christ (ranked 438 p4p, 505 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Berthier might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to La Strasbourgeoise. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Berthier lands a left hand that snaps the head of Christ backwards.

Christ breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Christ takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Berthier closes the distance and clinches.
Berthier pushes Christ back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Christ tries to circle away but Berthier has him pinned against the cage.
Berthier lands with a short shot to the head.

Christ breaks the clinch.

Berthier moves into the clinch.
Berthier lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Berthier lands with a right to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Christ is trying to force a seperation but Berthier has the dominant position.
Berthier blocking some punches.
Christ tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Christ lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Berthier scores with a shot to the side of Christ's head.
Berthier blocks an uppercut.
Christ wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Berthier has him pressed against the cage.
Berthier lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Nice body punch from Berthier - that landed with a thud.
Christ looks winded!
Berthier lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Berthier lands a hook to the side of the head.

Christ is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Berthier creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Christ with a big uppercut! Christ tries to clinch up but Berthier pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Christ to the mat! Christ covers up and Berthier unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
