The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manivong misses with a looping right.
Kocak is looking to counter punch.
Kocak goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Akuma Manivong has been cut.
A punch lands to the side of Manivong 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kocak bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Manivong throws a right hand that Kocak ducks under and follows up with a left that Kocak also avoids with ease.
Kocak thinks about countering with a body kick.
Kocak avoids the head kick by Manivong.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kocak has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Kocak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manivong moves away.
Demir Kocak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Manivong has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kocak throws a counter high kick but Manivong was just alert enough to avoid it.

and Kocak counters with a three punch combo that has Manivong backing up. Manivong nods at Kocak to acknowledge the strikes.

Manivong feints and then cracks Kocak's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kocak down.

Kocak is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Kocak fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kocak stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kocak wants it to stay on the feet.
Kocak thuds a left hand into Manivong's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kocak fakes the leg kick and cracks Manivong in the body.
Kocak bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Manivong's head.

Kocak connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kocak weaves into range and cracks Manivong right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Manivong goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Kocak is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
