Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kai Rossiter (ranked 2750 p4p, 1565 weight class) and Benny Figg (ranked 335 p4p, 206 weight class). Figg has chosen Bon Jovi - Wanted Dead Or Alive as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Kai Rossiter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Benny Figg!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figg fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rossiter swats away the attempt to clinch by Figg.
Rossiter connects with a body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Figg looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Figg gets a clinch.
Rossiter is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Figg is defending well for now.

Figg jumps guard and drags Rossiter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rossiter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Rossiter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Figg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Figg controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Rossiter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Figg trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rossiter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Figg is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Rossiter misses with a hook. Figg ducked under it nicely.
Rossiter misses with a two punch combination.

Figg throws a fast counter high kick but Rossiter manages to duck under it in time.
Rossiter motions for Figg to come forward. Rossiter throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Kai Rossiter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Figg takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Figg gets control of Rossiter's arms and successfully pulls guard. Figg will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Figg is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's time! Rossiter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Our sources have told us that Rossiter has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Figg's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Figg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kai Rossiter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benny Figg.

Figg dives in and grabs Rossiter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rossiter pushes down on Figg's head and hops out.
Rossiter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rossiter lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A head kick from Figg lands but Rossiter takes it in his stride.

Rossiter is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Figg's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rossiter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Figg has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Figg looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rossiter is fending him off so far but Figg persists. Nope, Rossiter circles away and we're back to standing.
Kai Rossiter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Figg changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rossiter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rossiter wants to control but Figg postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Rossiter lands with a hook. Figg tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Rossiter leaves Figg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Figg tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rossiter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Figg stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Figg shoots for a takedown but Rossiter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Rossiter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Figg can do to turn this around?

Kai Rossiter showed his dominance in that final round.
