Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cajun Puto (ranked 667 p4p, 617 weight class) and Dimitri Svyatogor (ranked 18 p4p, 17 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cajun Puto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitri Svyatogor!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Svyatogor.

As Svyatogor looks to move away, Puto throws a big counter combo but Svyatogor just gets out of the way.
Svyatogor throws an overhand right that lands on Puto's shoulder, as Puto tries to avoid the shot.
Puto takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Svyatogor scores with the left hand. Puto knows he should have avoided that one.
Svyatogor uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Svyatogor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Svyatogor wants it to stay on the feet.
Svyatogor jabs Puto right on the nose. Puto blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Cajun Puto has been cut.
Svyatogor is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Puto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Svyatogor, as that shot connected.
Dimitri Svyatogor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Svyatogor's coach down at ubergym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Svyatogor's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

and Puto counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Svyatogor thinking.
Svyatogor throws a jab when Puto was well out of range.
Puto was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Svyatogor scores with the left hand. Puto knows he should have avoided that one.
Svyatogor tries to clinch but Puto is having none of it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Puto is really struggling to control Svyatogor but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Svyatogor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Puto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Puto passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Puto is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Svyatogor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Svyatogor wants to control but Puto postures up.
Svyatogor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Puto has control of an arm but Svyatogor manages to advance to Puto's back!
Puto tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Svyatogor goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Puto turns into him and now he's in Svyatogor's guard.

Puto controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Svyatogor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Puto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Puto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Puto wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Svyatogor, who protects the arm well.

Puto advances nicely into full mount.

Puto has isolated one of Svyatogor's arms. Svyatogor looking to fight him off but Puto twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Cajun Puto!
Cajun Puto looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Thanks to the fans for turning up tonight. Get that piece of sh*t out of my cage. If any other fool wants to step into the swampman's den, then go ahead. There is no one on this planet that can beat me. No one!'.
