Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ty Fuller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeremias Furtwangler!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furtwangler misses with a two punch combination.
Fuller tries to counter with a takedown but Furtwangler is quick to defend against it.
Furtwangler throws a left and a right that both miss

and Fuller counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fuller.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fuller drops back looking for a leg! Furtwangler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Furtwangler manages to kick Fuller off! Fuller jumps back into Furtwangler's guard.
Fuller keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Furtwangler's head.

Fuller connects with a couple of short punches.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Furtwangler can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fuller is pushing down on Furtwangler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Furtwangler is fighting to maintain full guard but Fuller has managed to sneak the leg through.
Furtwangler is refusing to be controlled, as Fuller sits in half guard.
Fuller is nestled in close to Furtwangler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fuller slips a nice elbow through Furtwangler's hands, connecting with Furtwangler's forehead.
Fuller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Fuller definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Fuller lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Furtwangler on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Furtwangler is not content to let Fuller control the position.
Fuller is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Fuller takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Furtwangler is still in real trouble! Can Fuller finish him?
Fuller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fuller is nestled in close to Furtwangler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Furtwangler seems to have recovered his senses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fuller lands a nice short elbow.

Fuller lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Fuller is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Furtwangler is hurt! He's hurt bad - Fuller fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Furtwangler from any more punishment! Congratulations to Fuller! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ty Fuller!
After winning the bout, Ty Fuller thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
