Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent McGuire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tino Takala!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takala looks to land a right hand but McGuire moved out of range.
McGuire swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Takala moves into the clinch.
Takala takes a knee to the side of the body.
McGuire throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

McGuire breaks the clinch.

McGuire cracks Takala with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Takala is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Takala is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!

It looks like Tino Takala has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGuire keeps the fight on the outside.
McGuire throws a head kick that misses
and Takala counters with a two punch combo.

McGuire clinches up with Takala and pushes him back against the ropes.

Takala breaks the clinch.
Takala circles away from the clinch attempt.
Takala avoids the head kick by McGuire.
McGuire tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McGuire throws a wild body kick that Takala sees coming a mile off.
McGuire throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
McGuire lands a nice leg kick that just misses Takala's sensitive parts.

Takala moves into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takala blocking some punches.

Takala breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vincent McGuire is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McGuire defending well as Takala loads up on a big left hand.
Takala throws an overhand right that lands on McGuire's shoulder, as McGuire tries to avoid the shot.
Takala misses with a hook. McGuire ducked under it nicely.
McGuire throws a leg kick but Takala checks it.
Takala shapes to counter with a head kick.
McGuire closes the distance looking to clinch
and Takala counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Takala checks the leg kick nicely there.
As McGuire backs off Takala throws a huge counter combo but McGuire manages to avoid it all.
Takala misses with a body shot.

McGuire tries to keep at a distance but Takala has taken the fight into the clinch.

Takala pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McGuire misses with a low kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McGuire, as that shot connected.
McGuire throws a sloppy head kick and Takala moves out of range easily.
McGuire sets himself, and Takala steps forward looking for the clinch! McGuire avoids it this time.
McGuire walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A head kick by McGuire misses

and Takala holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Takala lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McGuire backwards.
Takala scores with an uppercut up the middle.
With the fighters up against the ropes, McGuire throws an elbow but misses.
McGuire misses with a short punch on the inside.
McGuire misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Takala.
Takala leaning his opponent against the ropes.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Takala blocks an elbow strike.

Takala breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vincent McGuire should take that round, based on the knockdown.
The cut man is working on Tino Takala's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McGuire throws a body kick that misses.
Takala blocks a head kick by McGuire.
A leg kick checked by Takala.
McGuire keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
McGuire tries to work over Takala's front leg with a kick but Takala checks it.
McGuire scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
McGuire falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Takala to counter with a crisp jab.
A swing and a miss from Takala.
McGuire scores with a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGuire throws a head kick that misses.
Takala flicks out a counter leg kick but McGuire steps away.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! McGuire throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Takala is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the ropes! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Vincent McGuire!
Vincent McGuire seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
