The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jarvinen throws a lazy uppercut
and Hondeveld counters with a straight right hand.
Hondeveld takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jarvinen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jarvinen slips a jab and a cross from Hondeveld.
Jarvinen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hondeveld counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jarvinen drops his hands momentarily and Hondeveld takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hondeveld cracks Jarvinen with an open hand slap.
Hondeveld looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hondeveld misses with a hook. Jarvinen ducked under it nicely.
Jarvinen throws an off balance right hand
and Hondeveld counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hondeveld shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A jab from Jarvinen misses.
Hondeveld throws an overhand right that lands on Jarvinen's shoulder, as Jarvinen tries to avoid the shot.

Jarvinen wants to clinch
and Hondeveld counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jarvinen misses with a hook. Hondeveld ducked under it nicely.
A big left from Hondeveld misses.
Jarvinen tries to counter by closing the distance.
Jarvinen throws a lazy right hand but Hondeveld sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hondeveld is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Jarvinen misses the body punch

and Jarvinen is countered with a crisp right hand from Hondeveld that sends him to the canvas! Hondeveld follows him to the mat into side control.

Jarvinen is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hondeveld wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jarvinen keeps working.
Jarvinen is still in real trouble! Can Hondeveld finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jarvinen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hondeveld.
Jarvinen seems to have recovered his senses.
Jarvinen wants to control but Hondeveld postures up.

Jarvinen gets back to half guard.
Jarvinen is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Jarvinen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hondeveld wants to take a breather but Jarvinen is having none of it.
Jarvinen is doing well to control the position and prevent Hondeveld from advancing to side control.

Hondeveld sets himself, and Jarvinen steps forward looking for the clinch! Hondeveld avoids it this time.
Jarvinen throws a body shot but no joy.
As Jarvinen looks to move away, Hondeveld throws a big counter combo but Jarvinen just gets out of the way.

Jarvinen lands a big right hand that sends Hondeveld crashing to the mat! Jarvinen stays standing though and waves Hondeveld back to his feet!

It looks like Machiel Hondeveld has been cut.
Jarvinen misses with a body shot.
Jarvinen connects with the punch.

Hondeveld throws a hook but Jarvinen avoids it easily.
Oh Hondeveld is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hondeveld is holding his hands too far apart here. Jarvinen throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Hondeveld is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
