Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Ford (ranked 572 p4p, 390 weight class) and Olyn Seran (ranked 77 p4p, 51 weight class). Seran has chosen Sound of Silence - Disturbed as his entrance music. Olyn Seran has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ed Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Olyn Seran!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ford throws a low kick but Seran avoids it.

Ford moves out of range as Seran strikes.

Ford takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ford attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ford throws a body shot but no joy.
Ford misses with a kick to the body.
Seran fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ford manages to avoid it.
Ford swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ford's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Seran connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ford scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Seran misses with a hook. Ford ducked under it nicely.
Seran has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ford breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Seran swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Ford connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Ford misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Seran throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ford counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Seran thinking.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd cheers as Seran lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ford doesn't seem phased though.
Seran stuns Ford with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Seran feints and then cracks Ford's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ford down.

Seran takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Ford counters with a straight right hand.

Ford throws a body punch but Seran moves out of range.
Seran throws an overhand right that lands on Ford's shoulder, as Ford tries to avoid the shot.

Ford will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Seran darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Ford lands a nice looking body shot.
Ford cracks Seran with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Seran takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ford swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Seran.
Seran throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Seran swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Seran lands a big head kick that sends Ford tumbling to the mat! Seran takes a step backwards and waves Ford back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ford is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Seran cracks Ford with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ford tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Seran pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ford is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Olyn Seran!
An out of breath Olyn Seran thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
