Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Fieri (ranked 2672 p4p, 5074 weight class) and David Wright (ranked 333 p4p, 571 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guy Fieri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Wright!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fieri avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Wright or perhaps it was just good defense by Fieri, which made it look bad.
Fieri could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fieri slips a jab and a cross from Wright.
Fieri fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wright on the side of the head.
Fieri definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wright misses with a head kick.
Fieri lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wright checks the leg kick.

Fieri closes the distance and clinches.
Wright tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fieri smiles and moves away.
Wright tries to move into range but Fieri moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fieri scores with a one two! Wright had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fieri gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Fieri has had enough of the clinch but Wright keeps him there for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fieri is leaning against Wright and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Wright is looking for a takedown.
Guy Fieri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Wright.
Fieri prevents a takedown attempt there.
Fieri connects with a nasty looking knee right to Wright's face.

It looks like David Wright has been cut.
Wright keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fieri's efforts to push away.
Wright jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fieri walks away with a smile on his face. Wright gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wright avoids the head kick by Fieri.

Fieri moves into the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Fieri.
Fieri trying to land knees to the body.
Wright has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Fieri seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Wright can turn it around.
A knee to the head by Fieri.
Wright drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wright goes for a takedown attempt but Fieri pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Wright on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

A looping hook to the body misses from Wright. Fieri does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wright shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fieri connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wright looks winded!

Fieri clinches up against the cage.
Wright takes a knee right on the jaw!

Wright is rocked!

Fieri breaks from the clinch.
Wright is still on wobbly legs! Can Fieri finish him?

Fieri clinches with his opponent.

Fieri manages to break the clinch.
Fieri fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wright has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A thudding body kick lands there by Fieri!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Fieri engages and cracks Wright with a massive lead left hook - Wright tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Fieri is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Guy Fieri!
