Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Vegas (ranked 3304 p4p, 3157 weight class) and Serge Savard (ranked 420 p4p, 404 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Serge Savard!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Savard was well out of range. Poor timing from Vegas.
A jab from Savard finds it's way through Vegas's defenses.
Vegas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Savard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Savard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Vegas darts in and clinches Savard up against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big strike lands for Savard! That's really hurt Vegas and he's turned his back - Savard keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Savard jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Serge Savard was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
