And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexei Mikhailov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikhailov slips a jab and a cross from Haig.
Haig gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mikhailov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Haig wants to sweep but no luck.
Mikhailov looking to pass the guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mikhailov's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Mikhailov stopping the sweep attempt from Haig.
Haig knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mikhailov on the ground.
Mikhailov trying to control the position from guard on top but Haig is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mikhailov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Haig swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mikhailov is still trying to improve position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mikhailov connects with a couple of short punches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Haig takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
It looks like Bobby Haig has been cut.
Mikhailov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haig keeps working.
Mikhailov advances to mount.
Mikhailov breaks from Haig's wrist control and lands an elbow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Haig tries to hold on but Mikhailov pushes him away.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bobby Haig's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

After winning the bout, Alexei Mikhailov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
