Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hero Shima (ranked 98 p4p, 193 weight class) and Pedro Fuentes (ranked 17 p4p, 34 weight class). Shima's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, C. R. E. A. M. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima slips a jab from Fuentes.
Fuentes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pedro Fuentes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shima misses with a hook.
A countering left hand to the body from Fuentes misses.
Fuentes connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Hero Shima has been cut.
Fuentes swings for the body but Shima moves out of range.

and Shima counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Shima counters with a stiff right hand.
Shima seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Fuentes needs to keep his hands up - Shima had a free shot at his head there.
That has opened up Pedro Fuentes's cut even more.
Fuentes misses with a hook. Shima ducked under it nicely.
It looked like Shima was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fuentes.

Shima moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Shima blocks a head kick by Fuentes.
Shima appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Fuentes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shima has time to react.
Shima doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fuentes tries a low kick but Shima avoids it.

and Shima counters with a left to the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fuentes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shima sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Shima cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Shima's corner calls for a 1-2. Shima obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pedro Fuentes's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Shima lands a lovely overhand right.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pedro Fuentes's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hero Shima!
