Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raate Road (ranked 154 p4p, 116 weight class) and Derek Erwin (ranked 26 p4p, 20 weight class). Road comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erwin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Road throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Erwin was covering up waiting for the punch and Road finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Erwin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Road defends it easily.

Erwin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Road has picked Erwin up and slammed him! Erwin can't keep hold of the triangle and Road manages to pass to side control!
Erwin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Road asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Erwin felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Raate Road will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Road, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
