Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Farquharson (ranked 1818 p4p, 3887 weight class) and Ralph Long (ranked 258 p4p, 462 weight class). Farquharson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Danny Vera - Roller Coaster. Ralph Long is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph Long!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long is looking to clinch but Farquharson is avoiding it.
We've been told by Farquharson's head coaches at Rollins Fitness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Farquharson blocks the body kick.
Farquharson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
A telegraphed right hand from Long misses the target.
Long throws a leg kick
and Farquharson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Farquharson scores with the left hand. Long knows he should have avoided that one.
Long falls off balance throwing a combination
and Long takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice defenses there by Farquharson.
It looked like Farquharson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Long throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Farquharson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Long has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Long looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Farquharson!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Farquharson parries the strikes from Long easily there. Long is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Farquharson to escape.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Duncan Farquharson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Farquharson drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Long right on the button. Long goes down! Farquharson follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Farquharson gets the win via TKO!
