PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kody Dangerfield (ranked 4373 p4p, 3484 weight class) and Iwin Alot (ranked 380 p4p, 326 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Alot has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dangerfield after a bit of a struggle.
Alot is trying to pull guard but Dangerfield has him pressed against the cage.
Alot is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dangerfield pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kody Dangerfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iwin Alot.
Alot blocks an uppercut.
Alot trying to control the position but instead, Dangerfield has worked for underhooks and has pushed Alot into the cage.
Dangerfield misses with the head strike.
Alot looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Dangerfield pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Alot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dangerfield has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alot has managed to get both his arms back between Dangerfield's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Alot drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dangerfield manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alot has Dangerfield in his guard.

Dangerfield knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alot on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Kody Dangerfield will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alot is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dangerfield's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dangerfield's back!

Alot is cranking Dangerfield's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Dangerfield! He's tightened the choke and Dangerfield is tapping out!
