Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Pacheco (ranked 4861 p4p, 20714 weight class) and Nick Holey (ranked 482 p4p, 622 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 29 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Pacheco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Holey!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holey shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Holey showed some decent athleticism there.

Pacheco pushes Holey off and gets back to his feet.
Pacheco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Holey fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pacheco to the ground. Holey is now in Pacheco's guard.
Holey is fighting to break Pacheco's control of his arms but Pacheco is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Pacheco fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Holey sprawls well initially but Pacheco persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Well, if Pacheco is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Holey wants to control but Pacheco is keeping busy.

Pacheco seems to be working for a kimura but Holey defends the submission attempt.

Holey is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pacheco pulls his head out easily.

Holey is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Pacheco's shoulder. That is not cool.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jose Pacheco will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Holey should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
