Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamahal Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kai Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reynolds throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hall was covering up waiting for the punch and Reynolds finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Reynolds controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Let's hope that Reynolds has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reynolds postures up.
Reynolds controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hall wants to sweep here but Reynolds controlling him for the moment.
Reynolds looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reynolds on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Hall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hall wants it to stay on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hall throws a lazy right hand but Reynolds sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hall throws a hook to the side of Reynolds's head but Reynolds sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A big right from Hall misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reynolds.
Nice uppercut there from Hall.
Hall lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
No luck for Reynolds with that takedown attempt.
Jamahal Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Reynolds.
Reynolds misses with a head kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Hall misses the target.
Hall throws a body punch but Reynolds moves out of range.
Reynolds shoots in looking for a takedown but Hall manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reynolds's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hall was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jamahal Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Reynolds is rocked!
Reynolds drops his hands momentarily. Hall doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Reynolds staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Reynolds doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jamahal Hall!
