PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Lucan (ranked 3518 p4p, 3538 weight class) and Jaheim Reid (ranked 440 p4p, 446 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edwin Lucan!

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reid shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lucan eats them both and turns towards Reid to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Reid does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Reid cracks Lucan with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lucan tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Reid pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lucan is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
