Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Vinogradov (ranked 419 p4p, 624 weight class) and Diamond Hand (ranked 63 p4p, 93 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Vinogradov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Diamond Hand!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinogradov throws a series of strikes that have Hand backpedaling.
Vinogradov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hand.
Vinogradov cracks Hand with an open hand slap.
Vinogradov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hands jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Vinogradov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hand throws a nice looking combination but Vinogradov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Donk. Vinogradov catches Hand right on the button with a cross.

Vinogradov gets a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vinogradov is really struggling to control Hand but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Vinogradov seems to be looking for submissions.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hand can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hand is defending against the submission attempts here by Vinogradov.

Vinogradov wants to work for an arm triangle but Hand is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Vinogradov is looking for a kimura but Hand is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vinogradov to get the leverage.

Vinogradov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Vinogradov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hand is just riding it out for now. Vinogradov eventually gives up the hold.

Vinogradov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hand keeps working.
Hand wants to improve his position but Vinogradov is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Vinogradov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Vinogradov goes for an armbar but Hand turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hand.

Vinogradov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hand defends it easily.

Hand has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hand there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hand let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vinogradov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hand but Hand pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hand uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vinogradov.

Vinogradov cracks Hand with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Hand defending well as Vinogradov loads up on a big left hand.
It seemed like Hand was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Vinogradov cracks Hand with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Vinogradov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hand manages to avoid it.

Vinogradov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hand throws out the jab.

Sergey Vinogradov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hand throws a looping overhand right but Vinogradov ducks down to avoid it.

Vinogradov throws a hook to the side of Hand's head but Hand sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Vinogradov lands a nice looking body shot.
Vinogradov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hand enables Vinogradov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hand manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Vinogradov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hand is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hand has escaped and now he's on top!


Vinogradov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Diamond Hand has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hand avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hand is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Vinogradov preventing the sweep.

Vinogradov tries to free his leg and advance position but Hand is retaining full guard.
Sergey Vinogradov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hand really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vinogradov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hand is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Vinogradov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hand is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vinogradov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hand is aware though and is defending well.

Vinogradov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hand can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hand wants to pass the guard but Vinogradov is keeping the position.
Vinogradov controls Hand momentarily but Hand frees himself.
Hand must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hand stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vinogradov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Diamond Hand comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vinogradov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
