Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dedrick Havoc (ranked 717 p4p, 2376 weight class) and Samuel Sycek (ranked 100 p4p, 319 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dedrick Havoc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Samuel Sycek!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Havoc wants to clinch.
Sycek tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sycek shoots in looking for a takedown. Havoc tries to sprawl out of it but Sycek keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Havoc manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Havoc tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sycek swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sycek's coach down at Brloh was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sycek's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Samuel Sycek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sycek has Havoc pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sycek pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Havoc tumbling to the mat - Sycek dives into Havoc's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Havoc has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Sycek. Oh but Havoc has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Sycek goes limp - he's gone! Havoc jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
