Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Rocky (ranked 3989 p4p, 3725 weight class) and Ikemba Okoye (ranked 493 p4p, 467 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ikemba Okoye!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okoye lunges at Rocky with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rocky's hand.
Rocky on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Okoye. Okoye obviously looking to wear him down.
Okoye dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rocky. That did some damage!
Rocky throws a lazy right hand but Okoye sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rocky misses with a wild combination.
Rocky backing away here, and Okoye unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Left hook, right uppercut from Rocky.

It looks like Ikemba Okoye has been cut.

Rocky clinches.
Okoye fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Okoye's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Rocky throws a punch but it's blocked by Okoye.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Okoye goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Okoye works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Okoye swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Okoye lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Rocky throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Rocky misses with a short punch on the inside.
Rocky pushes Okoye back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Rocky.

Okoye tries a body shot but Rocky blocks it.
Rocky lands a left hand that snaps the head of Okoye backwards.

Rocky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rocky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Okoye manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Rocky does no damage.
Okoye throws a solid leg kick but Rocky takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Okoye.
Okoye takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rocky ducks straight into an uppercut from Okoye and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Rocky manages to regain guard straight away.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Okoye tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Okoye has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Okoye wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rocky keeps working.
Rocky wants to control but Okoye postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rocky prevents Okoye from improving position.
Rocky is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Rocky tries to roll over but Okoye keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rocky is trying to maintain the position but Okoye is very close to passing his half guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Rocky manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Rocky lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rocky misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Okoye is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Apollo Rocky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Apollo Rocky will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Ikemba Okoye's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Okoye drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Rocky lands with a right hand.
Rocky takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rocky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Okoye moves away.
Okoye now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Rocky connects with a nice looking jab.
Okoye slips a jab and a cross from Rocky.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Okoye! But no joy.
Apollo Rocky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Okoye on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Okoye looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rocky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Okoye, pushing him back against the cage.

Okoye ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Okoye counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Rocky looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rocky lands a nice shot that snaps Okoye's head back.
Okoye throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Oh Rocky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rocky is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Rocky stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Okoye.
Rocky is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
