Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dado Damba (ranked 2116 p4p, 2806 weight class) and Teodors Ozolinsh (ranked 248 p4p, 313 weight class). Damba's entrance music is Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Electricity. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damba throws a sloppy head kick
letting Ozolinsh counter with a right hand.
No joy there for Ozolinsh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ozolinsh misses with a hook to the body
and Damba counters with a slapping leg kick.
Damba uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ozolinsh has time to react.

It looked like Damba was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Damba shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ozolinsh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Damba throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ozolinsh stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Damba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ozolinsh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ozolinsh lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Damba clobbers Ozolinsh with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dado Damba will probably get the nod.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Damba's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Damba postures up and lands a big shot to Ozolinsh's brow.
And that's the end of the fight!
Dado Damba showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Damba has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
