Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Law!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taylor Monroe!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Monroe.
Monroe scores with a head kick.
Monroe rushes Law and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Monroe gets underhooks to prevent Law's takedown attempt.
Law tries to score a body lock takedown but Monroe shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Monroe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Monroe doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Law counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Law.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Law stops a takedown attempt from Monroe.
Nick Law has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taylor Monroe.
Law has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Monroe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Monroe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Monroe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Law defends it nicely.
Law is looking to counter the offense by Monroe and move into the clinch.

Monroe misses with a takedown
and Law counters by clinching up.
Monroe is pressed up against the cage. Law has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Monroe down to the mat. Monroe avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Law displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Monroe.
As Monroe tries to get set, Law tries to push him back and clinch up but Monroe manages to avoid the attempt.
Monroe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Law sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Monroe somewhat.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Law stuffs the takedown attempt from Monroe. Monroe gets slowly back to his feet.
Law wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Law takes one on the button.
Monroe with a poor takedown
and Law holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Law tries to score a body lock takedown but Monroe shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Monroe prevents a takedown attempt there.
A nice right hand lands inside from Monroe.
Monroe gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Law.

Law goes for a takedown attempt but Monroe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Both fighters circling a little - Monroe finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Monroe is defended easily by Law.
As Monroe tries to get set, Law tries to push him back and clinch up but Monroe manages to avoid the attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Monroe rushes Law and presses him up against the cage.
Law goes for a takedown in the clinch but Monroe prevents it.
Monroe manages to pull guard.
Monroe wants to get back to his feet but Law is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Monroe looking to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Monroe seems keen to control Law's posture.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Taylor Monroe dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Law defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Monroe.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Monroe.

Monroe fails with a takedown attempt.

Taylor Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Law stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Law wants it to stay on the feet.
Law is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Monroe.
Monroe throws a head kick that misses
and Law counters by clinching up.
Monroe ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Monroe no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Monroe is trying to keep Law in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Monroe is breathing heavily.
Law is looking to stand up but Monroe won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Monroe is trying to control the position here. Law has hold of a guillotine from the top though... oh, that looks naaaaasty, will Monroe tap? Yes he will! The fight is all over! Law jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd.
