Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gemechu McKraken (ranked 403 p4p, 282 weight class) and Sergei Petrov (ranked 21 p4p, 13 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Petrov's choice of entrance music: I Am Free. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKraken is taking a breather. Petrov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McKraken wants to free his trapped foot but Petrov is holding on for dear life with his legs.
McKraken is nestled in close to Petrov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

McKraken tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McKraken has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McKraken remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
