With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oliver Smith!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a wild combination.
Jackson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Silva takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smith lands with an uppercut that bounces Silva off the cage and back into range.
Silva with a lazy takedown attempt
and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Smith bucks up and tries to throw Silva off but instead Silva has got his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Smith won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Silva off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jackson Silva!
Oliver Smith was interviewed post fight and said 'You win some you lose some. I will be back and I am going sleep some of you fools.'.
