Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Herleifr Conchobhar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Jones!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with an uppercut.
Conchobhar swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Conchobhar throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Jones lands a slapping body shot.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jones scores with a hook.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jones.
Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Conchobhar's head back.
Conchobhar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones lands a jab to the nose.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conchobhar tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conchobhar to the ground. Conchobhar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Conchobhar has been working on his boxing with his coaches at New York Public Gym in the buildup to the fight.
That kick from Jones tenderised Conchobhar's leg. Conchobhar is trying to keep his angry face on.
Conchobhar throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.

and Conchobhar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Conchobhar circles away quickly and effectively.

Conchobhar wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.

Jones stands and steps away. Conchobhar gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jones wants to land a leg kick but Conchobhar is out of range.
Conchobhar avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Conchobhar bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Conchobhar was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
David Jones dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jones ducks right into an uppercut from Conchobhar.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jones moves out of range as Conchobhar strikes.
and Conchobhar counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Jones! He's just covering up as Conchobhar starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
