The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Staunton paws at him with a jab and circles away.

silva lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Staunton sprawling to the canvas. silva follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Staunton hang on?

It looks like Stephen Staunton has been cut.
silva wants to get back to his feet.

Staunton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
