The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maroni misses with a double jab.

It looks like Don Maroni has been cut.
Maroni tries to close the distance and clinch but Vinegard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vinegard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maroni moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Vinegard turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Vinegard manages to end up in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
