Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Baxter (ranked 25244 p4p, 5033 weight class) and Ping Lacson (ranked 599 p4p, 486 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Baxter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ping Lacson!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lacson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Baxter defends well and Lacson ends up having to push Baxter into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lacson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baxter as he jumps to the side.
Baxter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Baxter darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Ping Lacson has been cut.
Lacson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
James Baxter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ping Lacson.

Baxter rushes Lacson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Baxter displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lacson up against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Baxter creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Lacson is rocked!
Baxter pushes Lacson against the cage. Baxter is working some dirty boxing. Baxter pushes off with a quick right hook! Lacson goes down! Lacson tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Baxter moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
