The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valero misses with a few strikes there.
Valero throws a series of punches but Roman moves out of range.
Valero tries to score with a low kick but Roman moves his leg out of the way.

No joy there for Valero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Roman misses with a wild combination.
Roman fails with the takedown
and Valero counters with a stiff right hand.
Roman looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Valero wants to counter with a clinch but Roman pushes him away.
Valero lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Valero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Roman circles away quickly and effectively.

Roman moves into range and clinches up with Valero.

Roman jumps guard but Valero stands there with Roman around his waist. Roman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Valero lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Roman's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Valero throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Roman blocks it with crossed arms.

Valero manages to break the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Valero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Valero catches Roman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Roman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Valero moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Roman takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Roman is rocked!
Roman dives in and grabs Valero's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valero pushes down on Roman's head and hops out.
Valero now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Oh Roman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Valero throws a leg kick but Roman sees it coming and moves out of range.
Valero has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Valero feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Roman sprawling to the canvas! Roman rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Valero finish him?!
Roman ducks into an uppercut from Valero and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
