Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kip Carraway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Bacon!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Carraway
and Carraway takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Carraway scores with a takedown into Bacon's guard.
Carraway trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Carraway passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Carraway controls the position.
Bacon is not content to let Carraway control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bacon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Carraway tries to move to mount but Bacon blocks the move with his legs.

Carraway swings around for an armbar but Bacon sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Carraway's guard.
Carraway looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bacon is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carraway throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bacon escapes and throws Carraway's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Carraway is looking to regain half guard here but Bacon keeps moving and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carraway is working hard here to advance position.
Carraway looks to move to half guard but instead Bacon has passed into mount! Damn!
Carraway tries to improve his position but instead Bacon has taken his back!
Carraway is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Carraway breaks Bacon's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Carraway trying to control the position from guard on top but Bacon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bacon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carraway. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carraway sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bacon's guard.
Carraway is keen to just control but Bacon is a slippery customer.
Carraway is pressing down on Bacon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bacon is holding on for now.
Bacon looks winded!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bacon pushes Carraway off looking to stand but Carraway dives back in and keeps control.
Carraway sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bacon defending well though.

Carraway is looking for a kimura here.

Carraway is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Carraway moves into full mount! Bacon won't be happy about that!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kip Carraway dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Carraway misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
It seemed like Bacon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
A good leg kick by Carraway.
Carraway closes the distance and clinches up with Bacon, looking for a takedown. Carraway pushes Bacon against the cage but Bacon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bacon swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carraway shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bacon napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bacon throws Carraway to one side and escapes!
Carraway looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bacon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kip Carraway. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ed Bacon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bacon moves out of range of the strikes.
Bacon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Carraway shoots in looking for a takedown. Bacon tries to sprawl out of it but Carraway keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bacon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Carraway closes the distance and clinches up with Bacon, looking for a takedown. Carraway pushes Bacon against the cage but Bacon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Bacon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
No luck for Carraway with that takedown attempt.
It seemed like Bacon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Carraway is rocked!
Bacon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Oh Carraway is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carraway throws a leg kick but Bacon moved away.
It seemed like Bacon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Carraway tries a head kick but it misses.
A little jabbing left from Bacon on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Carraway throws an off balance right hand
and Bacon counters with a huge left! Carraway is in big trouble! He's backing up but Bacon isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Carraway from any more damage. A dominating finish by Bacon!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Bacon!
Ed Bacon was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
Kip Carraway spoke after the fight, saying 'Aw f--- this! Who bribed the ref? Who put the Benadryl in my water? This was damn corrupt!'.
