Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Trevor McCallen (ranked 850 p4p, 2293 weight class) and Morgan Malig (ranked 48 p4p, 132 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malig walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McCallen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
McCallen throws a jab when Malig was well out of range.
Malig drops down looking to force a counter takedown but McCallen defends it well.
Nice body punch from McCallen.
McCallen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Malig. Malig circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

McCallen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Malig.
Malig is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
McCallen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
McCallen looks to land a left hand but Malig moved out of range nicely.
McCallen swings for the body but Malig moves out of range.

Malig throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCallen's waist but McCallen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Malig off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McCallen is looking for a sweep.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Malig is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McCallen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Malig tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Malig has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McCallen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Malig tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
McCallen lands with a hook. Malig tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A decent looking cross lands there for McCallen.
McCallen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Malig stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McCallen thuds his right hand into Malig's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Malig displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McCallen throws out the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

And Malig tries to counter it with a takedown but McCallen pushes his down on his head and steps out.

McCallen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Malig controls the pace.
