Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eron Saunders (ranked 2920 p4p, 3300 weight class) and Randy Mardov (ranked 377 p4p, 420 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders jabs at Mardov's body.
Some bone on bone action there as Saunders checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Saunders wants to clinch up but Mardov keeps it at a distance.

Randy Mardov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mardov is trying to drag Saunders to the mat but Saunders just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

so Mardov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Saunders wants to get back to his feet but Mardov passes into half guard.

Mardov is taking a breather. Saunders says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Saunders tries to roll over but Mardov keeps him under control.

Saunders is positioning himself well to prevent Mardov advancing to mount.

Let's hope that Mardov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Mardov.
Mardov wants to free his trapped foot but Saunders is holding on for dear life with his legs.
