Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Minoari Amida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ilya Muromets!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amida pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Amida throws a body shot but no joy.
Muromets moves forwards but Amida connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Muromets with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Amida to score with a decent uppercut.
Amida circles away from the clinch attempt.
Amida looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Amida lands a big right hand that sends Muromets crashing to the mat! Amida stays standing though and waves Muromets back to his feet!
Muromets is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Amida throws an uppercut from hell that sends Muromets clean off his feet! He's out cold! Amida stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
