Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Ahearn (ranked 3411 p4p, 4219 weight class) and Bruno Dukic (ranked 426 p4p, 499 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tobias Ahearn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruno Dukic!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Ahearn.
Ahearn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ahearn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dukic takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Bruno Dukic has been cut.
Ahearn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ahearn throws a series of punches but Dukic moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dukic! But no joy.
Dukic closes the distance but Ahearn moves to the side
and Ahearn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dukic closes the distance and pushes Ahearn back into the cage.
Dukic throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ahearns head.
Ahearn tries to throw a body punch but Dukic avoids it by throwing Ahearn back against the cage.
Ahearn lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dukic backwards.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dukic lands with a right to the head.

Ahearn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ahearn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ahearn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dukic is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ahearn.
Ahearn tries to bench press Dukic off him but Dukic keeps the position.

Dukic is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Dukic closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ahearn loads up on a big right hand but Dukic slips the punch.

and Dukic counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Dukic takes one on the button.
Dukic takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Dukic is looking to clinch but Ahearn is avoiding it.
Ahearn misses the shot to the body.
Dukic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tobias Ahearn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Ahearn misses.
And Dukic tries to counter it with a takedown but Ahearn pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Ahearn lands a right hook to the body.
Ahearn misses with a lunging right hand
and Dukic counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ahearn throws a nice looking combination but Dukic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ahearn lands a nice shot to the body.

Ahearn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A countering left hand to the body from Dukic misses.
Ahearn throws a looping overhand right but Dukic ducks down to avoid it.
Sloppy strikes from Ahearn. Those never looked like landing.
Dukic let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Ahearn connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ahearn takes a swing at Dukic's ribcage but misses.
Dukic takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Ahearn misses with a wild body shot.
Dukic appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Ahearn just misses with a punch to the body.
Ahearn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dukic momentarily.
Ahearn stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ahearn throws a left and a right that both miss

and Dukic counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dukic moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Ahearn.
Ahearn is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Dukic is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Ahearn tries to reverse the position but Dukic maintains control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ahearn is working hard here to advance position.
Ahearn manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dukic's guard. Nice work there by Ahearn.

Ahearn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dukic is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ahearn, into his guard.

Ahearn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ahearn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dukic is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ahearn.
Ahearn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Dukic is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ahearn has a hand on Dukic's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Dukic takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

A little jabbing left from Dukic on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Dukic can't find room to land a body shot as Ahearn controls the action.

Dukic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dukic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ahearn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dukic with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ahearn to score with a decent uppercut.
Ahearn throws a jab when Dukic was well out of range.
Ahearn throws a predictable looking body shot
and Dukic counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tobias Ahearn showed his dominance in that final round.
