Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Floruit Biggus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colin Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biggus takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Floruit Biggus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Biggus looks to throw the jab but Murphy is out of range.
Biggus shoots in for a double leg but Murphy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Biggus has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Biggus with a poor takedown
and Murphy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Biggus has his takedown stuffed
and Murphy counters with a left and a right that stings Biggus.

Biggus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Murphy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Biggus somewhat.

Biggus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Biggus postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Biggus has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Murphy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Biggus.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Biggus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Murphy is just riding it out for now. Biggus eventually gives up the hold.

Floruit Biggus overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Biggus shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Murphy moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Biggus! Murphy continues to tee off on Biggus, landing with a left and a right! Murphy connects with a right hand that leaves Biggus sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Murphy!
