Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Slon Mamontov (ranked 6090 p4p, 23758 weight class) and Bartolomeo Longo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bartolomeo Longo!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mamontov throws out the jab.
Longo appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Mamontov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mamontov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Longo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Mamontov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Longo is just riding it out for now. Mamontov eventually gives up the hold.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mamontov in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mamontov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Longo for as long as he can get away with.
Mamontov wants to pass the guard but Longo is defending well.
Mamontov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Longo defends it well.
Mamontov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Longo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mamontov.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mamontov is pressing down on Longo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Longo is holding on for now.
Mamontov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Mamontov goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Longo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mamontov's guard! Nice work there by Longo!
