The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovanov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mad Onion was well out of range. Poor timing from Lovanov.
Mad Onion throws a looping overhand right but Lovanov ducks down to avoid it.
Mad Onion misses with a jab to the body
and Lovanov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Luke Mad Onion has been cut.
Mad Onion wants to slow Lovanov down by chopping away at his legs.
Mad Onion throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lovanov.
Lovanov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Luke Mad Onion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mad Onion throws a head kick that misses.
Lovanov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mad Onion moves away.
We've been told by Mad Onion's head coaches at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Mad Onion fails in his attempt to clinch.

Lovanov lands a big shot that drops Mad Onion! Can he finish him?

Lovanov postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Mad Onion covers up, he's hurt! Lovanov keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Lovanov and the ref steps in to end the fight! Lovanov can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
