The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nemeth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jankens tries to buck Nemeth off but Nemeth is having none of it.

Nemeth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jankens knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Nemeth thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jankens regains half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nemeth is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jankens reverses the position - he's now on top in Nemeth's guard.
Jankens tries to free his leg and advance position but Nemeth is retaining full guard.

Nemeth working for a triangle but Jankens defends it easily.

Jankens stands and throws Nemeth's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Nemeth is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nemeth is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Jankens is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Nemeth tries to hold on but Jankens postures up.
Nemeth really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Nemeth on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nemeth tries to get out of the position.

Jankens with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Jankens wants to control the pace but Nemeth is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nemeth has given up his back. Will we see Jankens going for some submissions?
My spies in PRETTY PETERS FIGHT CLUB inform me that Jankens has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
