Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anwar Rinda (ranked 77 p4p, 128 weight class) and Kazuo Takashi (ranked 10 p4p, 19 weight class). Takashi has chosen 吉田兄弟 Rising as his entrance music. Anwar Rinda could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kazuo Takashi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Anwar Rinda!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kazuo Takashi!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takashi works the jab nicely.
Rinda walks into a straight right hand from Takashi.
Rinda definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Takashi moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rinda circles away from the clinch attempt.
Takashi scores with a jab. Rinda acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Takashi drives through with a takedown into Rinda's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Rinda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Takashi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Takashi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Takashi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rinda is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Takashi, into his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rinda trying to control the position from guard on top but Takashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rinda got a little sloppy there for a moment and Takashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rinda has managed to get both his arms back between Takashi's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Rinda throws a body punch but Takashi moves out of range.
Takashi just misses with a punch to the body.

Takashi closes the distance and clinches.
Rinda can't get the takedown.
Rinda has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Takashi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A short body shot lands from Takashi as the two fighters clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Takashi is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
The referee calls for Takashi to work.
Rinda is pressed up against the cage. Takashi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rinda down to the mat. Rinda avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rinda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And Takashi tries to counter it with a takedown but Rinda pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Takashi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rinda takes a swing at Takashi's ribcage but misses.

Takashi has Rinda up against the cage in a clinch.
Takashi is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Takashi is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

The referee asks Takashi politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Takashi prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Takashi is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Rinda is defending well though. Takashi let's go of the attempt for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Takashi trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Rinda doesn't escape.

Takashi is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Rinda tries to escape but Takashi has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Kazuo Takashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Takashi tries to close the distance and clinch but Rinda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Rinda counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Rinda throws a looping overhand right but Takashi ducks down to avoid it.

A close third round but Kazuo Takashi just about did enough to take it.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Rinda shoots in but Takashi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Rinda is looking to counter punch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kazuo Takashi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Takashi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Kazuo Takashi misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
