And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryoko Imaeda!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Imaeda.
Imaeda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Imaeda wants to land a leg kick but Popara is out of range.
Imaeda tries to clinch up.
Imaeda throws a combination that misses
enabling Popara to counter with a crisp jab.

Popara moves into range and clinches up with Imaeda.
A short right from Popara on the inside.
Popara can't find room to land a body shot as Imaeda controls the action.
Imaeda looking for a takedown.
Imaeda is trying to drag Popara to the mat but Popara just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Petar Popara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryoko Imaeda.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Imaeda throws an elbow that misses.
Popara gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Imaeda.

Imaeda tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Popara just stands there and leans against the cage.
Popara scores with a shot to the side of Imaeda's head.
Nice body punch from Popara - that landed with a thud.

Popara is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Imaeda looks winded!
Popara is pressed up against the cage. Imaeda has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Popara down to the mat. Popara avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Popara drops Imaeda with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Imaeda looks back up at him and smiles so Popara waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Imaeda is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Imaeda has his takedown stuffed
and Popara counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
