PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anton Matilla (ranked 1662 p4p, 1993 weight class) and KT Panda (ranked 241 p4p, 279 weight class). KT Panda is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anton Matilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, KT Panda!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panda tries to land a body kick
enabling Matilla to counter with a crisp jab.

and Panda counters with a body kick that stops Matilla in his tracks momentarily.
Panda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
KT Panda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matilla checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Matilla tried to counter with a leg kick but Panda avoided it.

Matilla has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a close round but I would say that Anton Matilla will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
