Hansen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Post Malone-Rockstar. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Lucroy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Odd Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hansen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lucroy to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lucroy trying to control but Hansen is working from the bottom.
Lucroy tries to free his leg and advance position but Hansen is retaining full guard.
Our spies down at at Besta-Fera Training Center inform us that Hansen has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lucroy trying to control but Hansen is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lucroy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Hansen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lucroy defends it easily.
Hansen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


That's one minute gone in the round.
Lucroy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Lucroy seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Lucroy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hansen stopping the sweep attempt from Lucroy.

Hansen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lucroy looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Lucroy looking for a guillotine here but Hansen defends easily.
Lucroy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hansen's guard.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lucroy chips away with some ground and pound.
Lucroy looking to pass the guard.
Lucroy trying to control the position from guard on top but Hansen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hansen looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Lucroy is defending well. Hansen quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lucroy has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hansen celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Odd Hansen!
During a confident post fight interview, Odd Hansen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
