Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Gentil (ranked 592 p4p, 320 weight class) and Azriel Pandens (ranked 82 p4p, 38 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paulo Gentil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Azriel Pandens!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pandens misses with a looping right.
Pandens takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pandens throws a jab but it's blocked by Gentil.
It looked like Gentil was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Pandens.
Pandens wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A big right from Pandens misses.
Pandens staying out of range there.
It seemed like Pandens was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pandens lands an overhand right.
Gentil throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Pandens swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

and Gentil counters with a series of strikes. Pandens will be more careful next time no doubt.

Nice jab there from Pandens.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pandens, as that shot connected.
Pandens will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gentil moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pandens raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Gentil stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gentil swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gentil lunges at Pandens with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pandens's hand.
Pandens throws an overhand right that lands on Gentil's shoulder, as Gentil tries to avoid the shot.

Gentil ducks under a wild hook from Pandens.

Pandens tries to bum rush Gentil with a series of wild strikes but Gentil uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gentil throws a right and a left that Pandens avoids nicely.
Nice straight punches there by Gentil. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gentil.

Pandens throws out a leg kick but Gentil moves out of range and Pandens only half commits.

and Pandens counters with a stiff right hand.
Pandens's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gentil connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pandens scrambles back to his feet.
Pandens waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gentil.
Pandens works Gentil's body with a nice hook.
Pandens lands a glancing blow to the side of Gentil's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pandens throws a shot from downtown. Gentil moves away and avoids it.

Gentil seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Azriel Pandens seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Gentil is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Pandens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A slow jab from Gentil misses its intended target.
A nice side step and Pandens releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Gentil throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pandens digs a good body shot into Gentil's ribs.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Gentil might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Gentil takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pandens throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Gentil is rocked!
Gentil tries to get into range but Pandens steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Gentil! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Pandens scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Azriel Pandens!
Azriel Pandens spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
