Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hunter (ranked 4800 p4p, 4886 weight class) and Enzo Blue (ranked 573 p4p, 575 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Enzo Blue!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter thows a left - swing and a miss!
Blue takes a jab right on the kisser.
A combination from Blue does no damage.
Hunter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blue.
Hunter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Blue's head.

Blue clinches.
Hunter working hard to break the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Blue.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A short body shot lands from Blue as the two fighters clinch.
Blue tries to pull guard but Hunter forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Blue throws a nice looking combination but Hunter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
An attempted straight right counter from Hunter misses the target.

and Blue counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hunter tries to bum rush Blue with a series of wild strikes but Blue uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Blue! But no joy.

Donk. Blue catches Hunter right on the button with a cross.
Blue ducks right into an uppercut from Hunter.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blue takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Blue tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hunter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hunter throws a looping overhand right but Blue ducks down to avoid it.
Blue moves out of range as Hunter strikes.
Blue slips a straight right by Hunter.
Blue was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Hunter pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hunter is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Hunter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Blue lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hunter has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hunter and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Blue catches Hunter with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Hunter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Blue tries to bum rush Hunter with a series of wild strikes but Hunter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hunter swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Blue.

Blue lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Blue takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Blue throws a low kick but Hunter moves out of range easily.
Hunter was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Blue cracks Hunter with a good jab.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blue will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Blue.
Blue throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hunter is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Blue tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hunter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blue somewhat.
Mark Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enzo Blue.
Blue motions for Hunter to come forward. Blue throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Blue moves forwards but Hunter connects with a nice, crisp jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hunter scores with a jab. Blue acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Blue throws a lazy head kick
enabling Hunter to counter with a crisp jab.
Blue misses with a leg kick
and Blue takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Enzo Blue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blue walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Blue ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hunter moves away.

Blue fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hunter, pushing him back against the cage.

Blue escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hunter throws out a loose jab but Blue uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hunter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Hunter.
Blue slows down the pace here.

Blue pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Enzo Blue seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hunter throws a jab when Blue was well out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Blue! But no joy.
Hunter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Blue.
A little feinted left hand from Hunter on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Blue gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Blue breaks from the clinch.
Blue falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hunter counters with a nice uppercut.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Enzo Blue will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Hunter seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Blue is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Maybe Hunter would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Blue creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Blue wants to slow Hunter down by chopping away at his legs.
Hunter is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Blue.

Blue works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hunter throws a lazy uppercut
and Blue counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Blue tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hunter swivels and escapes.
Blue ducks under a wild hook from Hunter.

Hunter gets tackled into the cage by Blue. Blue maintains the clinch.
Blue fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Blue pushes Hunter back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Mark Hunter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Blue ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Blue no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hunter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Enzo Blue is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Enzo Blue comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Blue has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
